for keeping this site alive for the past five years. It was May 21, 2021 that I said adiós to writing and posting reviews of the latest melodic pop albums. It was the same for interviews and the like. I was a busy boy, enjoying myself immensely day after day.

Now, in 2026, my wife Janet and I are reaching out for your help during a difficult time, which brings me to our GoFundMe campaign (https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-alan-and-janet-stay-in-their-home).

A combination of ongoing health issues, mostly for me, and little incoming money have put us in a serious situation. Janet has been searching for a job for almost a year after being let go from her last position after 14 years due to budget cuts. She continues to search for a new job every day. We don’t have a car and rely on Ubers for transportation, which adds to our expenses. With my health challenges, including psoriatic arthritis and neuropathy, and mounting medical expenses, we are struggling to pay our rent for the coming months, bills, medical expenses, and living costs.

The funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will help us cover our rent for the coming months, as well as pay for living, medical, and transportation expenses while Janet continues to look for a job. We are asking for any monies you can contribute to our cause.

Thanks to donations received thus far, we are a bit better off today than when we started this GoFundMe campaign at the beginning of this month. But we still have a ways to go. Your support with donations and/or shares will allow us to get past our financial strain. We are deeply grateful for any help you can provide, and your kindness will make a real difference in our lives.
