the-beatles-things-we-said-todaybeatles 1+Beatles 1+, without question one of the most important and most anticipated Beatles releases ever realized in the digital age, is set to delight both hardcore and mainstream fans when it becomes available on November 6. The four Things We Said Today panelists–Ken Michaels, Steve Marinucci, Al Sussman and Allan Kozinn–discuss the impact of this mind-blowing package on tonight’s all-new edition of the premiere Beatles talk show at 8 pm ET (5 pm PT) on Pure Pop Radio.

beatles 1 blu-rayMind-blowing? Is there any other word to describe the Beatles 1+ package, containing two Blu-ray (or DVD) discs and the remixed 1 album? Sure, you can get the newly-presented 1 experience in other configurations (including, at some point, on vinyl), but why would you want to? If there is a modern-day equivalent of the holy grail in the world of the Beatles, this has to be it.

The Things We Said Today panelists offer their reactions to the new Beatles 1 packages, including the news that remixing of the audio has taken place; Ken’s statement pretty much sums up everyone’s view: “I couldn’t be more thrilled,” he says. We can’t argue with that.

Tune in tonight at 8 pm ET (5 pm PT) to hear Ken, Steve, Al and Allan talk about this most welcome event. See you on the radio!

Things We Said Today is a weekly survey of all things Beatles that’s hosted by a quartet of Beatles experts–today’s Fab Four, if you will. Ken Michaels, host of Every Little Thing, which airs Monday nights at 8 pm ET on Pure Pop Radio, is joined by Beatlefan Executive Editor Al Sussman, Steve Marinucci (Beatles Examiner), and Allan Kozinn, longtime music critic. Other well-known Beatles experts sometimes sit in with the core group. Things We Said Today airs on Thursday nights at 8 pm ET (5 pm PT).
