Flying the friendly skies? Not just yet, unfortunately…

Most people go somewhere cool on their vacations: London, Paris, Rome and New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong. Oh, everywhere it’s Christmas…

Hmm. It looks like we’re living vicariously through a treasured Beatles Christmas record again. Better change gears.

We hope to fly the friendly skies later this year to a lovely tropical locale and sip fruity drinks on sandy beaches because, you know, even we can hear and recognize the value of the clarion call of rest, relaxation and the ultimate golden tan, but for now we’ll have to settle for an overnight stay in a local, award-winning hospital to take care of a nagging problem with our cervical spine.

We’ll be maintaining radio silence for a week or two or so and come back in tip-top shape, typing fingers ready to fly across the keyboard as we get back to business, regaling you and yours with stories of great melodic pop music–the kind of cheery word and music combos you know and love and use as the collective soundtrack of your life.

In other words, there are more reviews and installments of I Love that Song and My First Record Player and news about Pure Pop Radio specialty shows like In Conversation and Two Music Geeks and other stuff like that there coming to a computer or tablet or phone screen near you. Oh, the magical webs we’re likely to weave…

In the meantime, check out some of the more than 100 posts we’ve brought you thus far on this lovely website and listen to Pure Pop Radio (handy-dandy listening links below). See you again right here so soon you’ll hardly have had time to miss our magnificent mugs.
