Show number 44 kicks off at 9 pm ET sharp on Pure Pop Radio with an interview with George Harrison, surrounded by an exciting selection of fab tunes, including a favorite from Peter and Gordon (“Nobody I Know”) and a cover of the Quiet One’s “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)” from Kinks guitarist Dave Davies.
Ken rolls out a role reversals two-fer in tonight’s second segment with a pair of Beatles tracks beloved by zillions: “Honey Pie” and “Another Girl.” And then, in the third, themed segment, Ken spins a quartet of group and solo tracks with repetitive titles. “Long, Long, Long,” “Say Say Say,” “Well Well Well,” and “Hi Hi Hi” provide the thrills.
