We’ve had big weeks before, but next week promises to be perhaps our biggest of all time: We’re rolling out four days of new songs and artists just added to our playlist, three brand-new specialty shows, and maybe a few surprises. You never know what surprises are up our sleeves (even Lucy looks surprised)!
The big event next week is our Four-Day New Music Songfest (join our Facebook event page by clicking here (thank you!)), during which hundreds of new songs and artists are being added to the Pure Pop Radio playlist, just as May enters our musical lives. It may well be our biggest playlist add ever! We’re excited for you to hear what we’ll be spinning for the very first time on our airwaves. The fun starts next Tuesday morning, May 3, at 6 am ET and goes through to Friday night, May 6, at 11 pm ET, but, of course, all of these new songs and the more than 8,600 others already playing in rotation will continue to be heard any time you click on one of our handy listen links.
And the fun continues! We’ve got an all-new edition of Pure Pop Radio: In Conversation next Tuesday night, May 3, at 8 pm ET. Bill Lloyd is Alan’s guest; he’ll be talking about his new covers compilation, Lloyd*ering, in the in-depth way that only we can muster. You’ll hear songs from Lloyd*ering, hear what it takes to deliver a great version of a favorite song, and much more. Don’t miss it.
But that’s not all. Brian Bringelson checks in with another edition of his all-vinyl show, Needle Meets Vinyl, next Wednesday night at 8 pm ET, and our panel of Beatles experts sits around the roundtable to talk about the passing of Prince, and a whole lot more. This new edition of Things We Said Today airs next Thursday, May 5, at 8 pm ET.
So: hundreds of new songs are airing during our festive Four-Day New Music Songfest (next Tuesday through Friday), Bill Lloyd is starring in a new edition of Pure Pop Radio: In Conversation, Brian Bringelson is spinning vinyl on Needle Meets Vinyl, and Ken Michaels, Steve Marinucci, Al Sussman and Allan Kozinn will be gathered around the Fab roundtable on Things We Said Today.
Sounds like a great week of programming to us. Pure Pop Radio is all set to deliver the pop goods!
