Marc Johnson-YEARSOn September 20, singer-songwriter Marc Jonson, best known for his seminal 1992 album 12 in a Room, joined me on Pure Pop Radio: In Conversation to talk about his 1972 debut album Years, released on the Vanguard label.

Along the way, Marc met up with such luminaries as Harry Chapin and Eric Clapton, and went from recording songs in his Long Island bedroom to recording in Vanguard’s mammoth studios. In doing so, his new songs were transformed into majestic landscapes that set a young musician on his musical path. This show is a detailed look at the creative process, as in-depth as it gets on pop music’s premiere interview program.
