By Alan Haber – Pure Pop Radio

Singer-songwriter Dave Caruso released in 2017 Buddha Pesto Manifesto, his shining masterwork, an album that raises the stakes from his 2014 release, Cardboard Vegas Roundabout, itself quite a momentous collection of melodic pop gems.
Dave sat before the mobile Pure Pop Radio: In Conversation microphones on January 24 to speak with me about Buddha Pesto Manifesto. Among the topics discussed: Dave’s exacting songwriting process, his wide-ranging music-oriented activities, the importance he places on lyrical content, and three of Buddha’s great songs: the baroque “God’s Green Acre,” the early-Beatlesque “Hanging With You,” and the heartbreaking album closer, “I Get to Make You Laugh.” This is another can’t-miss show.
