McKinney turn the tables on cool radio shows by being even cooler! It’s the debut of the new program Two Music Geeks and it’s a-gonna be great!
Join Alan and Scott as they get in deep and spin some of their favorite pop songs while also presenting a poppin’-good array of trivia, facts and figures, and indubitable insight. With 200 years of music knowledge between then, Alan and Scott can’t help but tell you everything they know…and then some!

Here at Pure Pop Radio, we’re rolling full steam ahead with cool specialty programming that will surprise and delight you.
Alan Haber: Proud Music Geek!
Our latest programming coup, and our second original creation, debuts April 22 at 9 pm ET. The name of the show is Two Music Geeks, an hour-long gab-and-music conglomeration hosted by Alan Haber and Scott W. McKinney, former air personality and Assistant Station Manager at KBEK-FM in Mora, Minnesota.
What exactly will you hear on Two Music Geeks? The setting is simple: Alan and Scott will each pick five favorite tracks, play them and then talk about them. Their spiels will be stocked full of facts and trivia associated with each tune. Sometimes, as in the first edition of the program, songs will be picked at random; in other shows, there will be a theme. No matter the table setting, the shows will be lively and informative and, most importantly, a whole lot of fun.
Two Music Geeks began as an every-so-often Saturday morning interview segment on Scott’s Saturday morning KBEK program. Alan and Scott had a whole lot of fun doing these segments, zeroing in on favorite Beatles and solo-Fabs tunes, songs with great bass lines, and other important topics. With the recent suspension of operations at KBEK, the dynamic duo decided to continue the segments. As they never had a proper name, the moniker Two Music Geeks was borne.

In their 200 decades on this planet, Alan and Scott have been amassing volumes upon volumes full of facts and figures from the college of melodic pop knowledge. They’re practically bursting and needed an outlet to roll out all of their musical know-how. And, hey, what they don’t already know they’ll simply look up, and how!
