Al’s first book, Changin’ Times, November 22, 1963 – March 1, 1964: 101 Days that Shaped a Generation, is a fascinating and informative journey through the dramatic historical events that took place in the period leading up to the Beatles arrival in the United States and the group’s historic appearances on the Ed Sullivan show.

During this special two-hour long program, Al talks about his book and sets the stage for the airing of a baker’s dozen songs from 1963, including one by a foursome of Mop Tops you might know. It’s an illuminating and fun show, full of great talk and tunes.

In addition to his writings for Beatlefan magazine, Al appears regularly at the Fest for Beatles Fans and is one member of the panel on the Beatles-related podcast, Things We Said Today.
