Circle the date: This Saturday, February 14, is Valentine’s Day. To celebrate in a particularly fab fashion, Ken Michaels has put together a kissable, huggable show–an hour of Beatles and solo Beatles love songs that will provide the soundtrack for lovebirds all over the world who fancy a bit of snuggling up in a Yellow Submarine blanket. Ah, all the world is in love with Ken’s weekly Beatles gathering place: Every Little Thing!
This Saturday’s special, in which love, love, love will be celebrated with a heaping helping of love, love, love, will air twice: 12 noon and 6 pm ET on Pure Pop Radio. From the Beatles’ “And I Love Her” to George Harrison’s “Your Love is Forever,” this is the hour dedicated to lovers in love. Don’t miss it!
On tonight’s edition of Every Little Thing: Ken’s exciting third, themed segment will tell you what you need to know to be able to rattle off lots of fab songs whose titles begin with the letter “A.” Could songs that start with the letter “B” be far behind? Hard to say, but we’ll keep an ear out. In the meantime, you have tonight’s edition of your favorite Beatles hour, starting at 9 pm ET on Pure Pop Radio.
In Ken’s third, themed segment, you’ll hear six songs from the Beatles and the Fabs’ solo years that boast the first letter of the alphabet as their opening salvo, from “And I Love Her” to “Alligator” and “Act Naturally.” It’s a fun way to cap off a show full of great music that opens with the usual varied segment–this time featuring a group BBC performance and Ringo Starr’s “Back Off Boogaloo”–and continues with excerpts from Ken’s interview with Beatles expert Mark Lewisohn and a cover of the Fabs’ “Any Time at All,” performed by the great Nils Lofgren.
It’s all for you tonight at 9 pm ET on Pure Pop Radio, your 24-hour Internet radio station bringing you the greatest melodic pop music in the universe. And don’t forget to listen to Every Little Thing’s Valentine’s Day special, this Saturday, February 14, at noon and 6 pm ET. See you on the radio!
