By Alan Haber – Pure Pop Radio
Coke Belda 3 (Gs): A Tribute to the Bee Gees is a loving embrace of the quality songwriting and performances that the Brothers Gibb came to be, and still are, known for. The album’s dozen tracks are performed Coke Belda-style, which is to say that Coke has melded his acute pop sensibilities with the magic of some of melodic pop music’s greatest songs.
Choosing from well-known Brothers Gibb tracks and those that are perhaps less-known and underappreciated, Coke has delivered one of this year’s best albums. Played entirely by Coke, with vocal assistance from Gretchen Wheel’s Lindsay Murray, and mastered elegantly by former Merrymaker Anders Hellgren, Coke Belda 3 (Gs) is a marvel.
