It’s back to the groovy, wavy-gravy, fab and gear late-sixties–specifically the year 1968–on tonight’s time¬†travel-esque episode of Ken Michaels’ Every Little Thing, airing at 9 pm ET.

Ken hits the Fab Four spot right out of the box with six group and solo tunes, beginning with an early take of George Harrison’s “My Sweet Lord” and ending with “Young Boy,” a song that Paul McCartney wrote while waiting for Linda to finish whipping up lunch for a feature for the New York Times. Segment two presents a love songs two-fer and a politically-charged tune from John Lennon, “Bring on the Lucie (Freeda People).”

Have a seat in your very own Fab Four Wayback Machine as Ken spins, in his third, thematic segment, five songs from 1968, including Mary Hopkin’s “Those Were the Days,” produced by Paul McCartney; and the Fabs “Happiness is a Warm Gun.” Nice!¬†1968

Don’t forget to stay tuned for Ken’s weekly Beatles trivia question–and the answer! Put on your groovy thinking cap and see how much you know about your favored Fabs! Set your alarm clocks for 9 pm ET tonight. This is gonna be a good one!

People say they Beatle around, and they’re absolutely right! Ken Michaels spins the latest edition of Every Little Thing tonight, and yes, he’s a little down this week…down in the sense that in his weekly thematic segment, he’s spotlighting the “down” side of the Fab Four. In other words, Ken is conjuring up the sounds of Beatles and solo Beatles songs with the word “down” in the titles. Pretty snappy, eh?

And that’s not all! Ken interviews original Beatles drummer Pete Best alongside a pair of Decca recordings: “Searchin'” and “Like Dreamers Do.” The whole affair kicks off with a trio of solo Fabs tunes and a song from the power pop group Sloan. And don’t forget Ken’s weekly Beatles trivia question at the end of the show.

Ken’s been in the thick of Beatles radio for 32 great years–a long, long, long time to be sure. Also singing in fine gear fashion is a set stocked full of solo bonus tracks and an opening run that starts with a live version of Ringo Starr’s “What Goes On” and ends with the Everly Brothers’ “On the Wings of a Nightingale,” written for the duo by none other than Sir Paul McCartney.

Don’t forget to stay tuned at the end of the show, when Ken rolls out his weekly Beatles trivia question. Have your thinking caps ready!

If it’s Monday, it must be time for another fab edition of the premier Beatles radio show on Planet Earth, Ken Michaels’ Every Little Thing.

Tonight at 9 pm ET, Ken will be spinning some classic Beatles and solo Beatles tracks, as well as a couple of very cool Fabs-related songs from Yim Yames and House of Love. The weekly theme set concerns itself with songs that have either John and Yoko, or John or Yoko in the titles (one of them is one of my favorite solo John tracks from Imagine, “Oh Yoko!”).

It’s all for you tonight on Every Little Thing, just one of the great specialty shows we bring you every week on Pure Pop Radio. Have a gear time!
