Get the Scoop on this Year’s Danbury Fields Forever Festival from Organizer Charles Rosenay on Tonight’s Things We Said Today

the-beatles-things-we-said-todayLongtime Beatles convention and celebration organizer Charles Rosenay guests on tonight’s timely edition of the weekly Beatles roundtable, Things We Said Today. The show begins at 8 pm ET on Pure Pop Radio.

danbury fields foreverA very animated Rosenay talks to Ken Michaels, Steve Marinucci, Al Sussman and Allan Kozin about this year’s Danbury Fields Forever festival, being held this coming Saturday, August 15, at the Ives Concert Park in Danbury, Connecticut. This is the fourth year for the festival, being held on the 50th anniversary of the day that the Beatles played at Shea Stadium in New York.

On tap during the festival are 11 bands, from the Blue Meanies and Number Nine to Strictly Beatles and Afterfab. Special guest of honor is original lead guitarist for the Animals, Hilton Valentine, who will perform.

Things We Said Today is a weekly survey of all things Beatles that’s hosted by a quartet of Beatles experts–today’s Fab Four, if you will. Ken Michaels, host of Every Little Thing, is joined by Beatlefan Executive Editor Al Sussman, Steve Marinucci (Beatles Examiner), and Allan Kozinn, longtime music critic. Other well-known Beatles experts sometimes sit in with the core group.
