Alan Haber's Pure Pop Radio is the archive for the premiere website that covered the melodic pop scene with in-depth reviews of new and reissued recordings, and a wide variety of features. We are now closed for new activity.
Everybody knows that Ken Michaels’ Every Little Thing is the top of the poppermost weekly radio show covering all things fab. Ken’s been in the thick of Beatles radio for 32 great years–a long, long, long time to be sure. It’s interesting, then, that tonight’s show features a long, long, long set consisting of songs with the word “long” in the title. Pretty cool, huh?
Also singing in fine gear fashion is a set stocked full of solo bonus tracks and an opening run that starts with a live version of Ringo Starr’s “What Goes On” and ends with the Everly Brothers’ “On the Wings of a Nightingale,” written for the duo by none other than Sir Paul McCartney.
Don’t forget to stay tuned at the end of the show, when Ken rolls out his weekly Beatles trivia question. Have your thinking caps ready!
Set your alarm clock for tonight at 9 pm ET for this week’s edition of Ken Michaels’ Every Little Thing. Enjoy!
We love our Monday nights here at Pure Pop Radio, and we know you do too, so let’s crank up the Internet radio thingamajig and make this gear thing happen!
It’s time for another episode of Ken Michaels’ Every Little Thing, our weekly celebration of all things Beatles. This week, Ken’s spinning a cool mix of Fabs, Macca, Ringo, Al DiMeola (!), the Traveling Wilburys, John, and a special segment focusing on the Beatlesque music of 1982. Tug of War, anybody? (And don’t miss Ken’s interview with Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick!)
Don’t miss a second of the festivities, of course, and you won’t as long as you’re tuned in to Pure Pop Radio tonight at 9 pm ET. Don’t forget to stick around at the end of the show for Ken’s weekly Beatles trivia question. It’s a stumper!
Remember: Ken Michaels’ Every Little Thing airs each and every Monday night at 9 pm ET on Pure Pop Radio. Cool!
In addition to the leaves on the trees, there’s a whole lotta Beatle-riffic cool going on tonight, February 21, at 9 pm ET. Yes, it’s the latest edition of Ken Michaels’ hour-long celebration of all things John, Paul, George and Ringo: Every Little Thing.
On tonight’s show, Ken offers up an interview with Pete Best, who talks about the Beatles’ first recording at EMI studios; a “Ringo and Peter Frampton Two-Fer”; and, during the always-fab third segment, a fun collection of songs and an interview with none other than Paul McCartney. It’s a little thing Ken calls Beatles Anatomy 101.

Tonight at 9 pm ET, Ken will be spinning some classic Beatles and solo Beatles tracks, as well as a couple of very cool Fabs-related songs from Yim Yames and House of Love. The weekly theme set concerns itself with songs that have either John and Yoko, or John or Yoko in the titles (one of them is one of my favorite solo John tracks from Imagine, “Oh Yoko!”).
It’s all for you tonight on Every Little Thing, just one of the great specialty shows we bring you every week on Pure Pop Radio. Have a gear time!
